Lisbon Design Week 2024
Exhibition - Ligne Roset Showroom
GRAUº participated in the 2024 Lisbon Design Week edition, partnering with the Ligne Roset showroom. The challenge was to create over-the-top and unique pieces and compositions, that trully represented the studio's creative vision, with complete creative freedom.
Construction
The CONSTRUCTION collection is made up of three ceramic panels, WINE, SAND and BRICK, fixed to a poplar wood base, with a frame of the same material.
The colors of each panel are monochromatic, in shades of aubergine, brick or white, with subtle variations in textures and shadows.
Each design is a tribute to previous GRAUº pieces or collections, as reflection of the authors on their own past work.
Gradient
GRADIENT is made up of two sets of ceramic masks, sold together or separately.
In the first set, the masks are organized in a chromatic gradient that begins with a rich terracotta tone, gradually lightening to a pure white, in the center of the composition.
From this point on, we have the second set, in which the gradient goes from white to terracotta, which accentuates the effect of concave/convex.
Flood
The black stoneware tubes are connected by long jute filaments, in order to create an undulating liquid line, in a continuous movement.
As a natural and fibrous material, jute is fixed along the ceramic segments, creating a feeling of continuity and fluidity
Candelabra
This collection presents three candle holders, in black, white and terracotta stoneware. But it is much more than that.
By exploring the concept of customization to the fullest, each of them can be dematerialized and materialized into new pieces, giving the user an active and playful role in the final result.
